I think, Markus is talking about the way, how it is shown in a mail
archive. Usually, this is based on the "in-reply-to" header. AFAIK this
should be calculated based on the message ID of the mail you are
replying to.
Older Versions of Lotus Notes doesn't manage this correctly.
