Maybe /dev/disk/by-id/scsi_SATA_Maxtor_33073H3_L3HC4GBC-part2 points to
the wrong device node?

With 2.6.21 your hard drive might be accessible by /dev/hda. Since
2.6.22 all hard drives show up as /dev/sdX.
